Qualifying for the SMSTS Training Course
Once you have finished learning the course work you will then need to show that you have
understood what you have learned. Each of the main elements will have exercises to complete, and
these will need to be passed. At the end of the course there is a final exam and if you successfully
complete the exam you will then be awarded with a certificate that lasts for a five year period. After
the five years is up you can take a quick two day refresher course to bring you up-to-date with the
latest changes in legislation and regulations.
